Environment = Part 7 of our Intention Wheel™
Our home is a place we spend quite a bit of time… and our home should be just that, our sacred place to ‘come home’ – a safe place in all ways. A comfortable place in all ways. A clean place in all ways. This means physically, emotionally, and spiritually. How many of us think about making our home our sacred place?
The place where we can sink in and lean in and be our soft self.
The place where we can relax and also have the space for us to feel well cared for.
The place where we can be our true selves and be seen and heard too.
The place where we can trust that the walls around us and the people around us are here to protect us – our safe place in the world.
Most people see this section of the wheel (#7) as the physical things we need to do around the house to have us feel good and that is great but it’s not the full picture. So it is great to think about doing things like:
- Decluttering each room
- Completing those projects that have been half done
- Starting and completing the old ideas you’ve been thinking about
- Fixing the broken things and much needed to do projects around the house
And in addition, those of us that live in the home with others are each responsible for the energy we bring to the home. And if that energy of the environment is not the energy you (we) want, we have the power to switch it up. The energy of an environment is often created unconsciously... but it does not have to be that way. When we all realize that we each contribute to the environment that we are in, we can then be more responsible for changing the environment and everyone has the power to do so. The energy of an environment is part of what makes is safe, fun, comfortable or not. So step into the depths of creating an environment that you really want and create that, because you have the power to.
This section of the Intention wheel is powerful as it ties often to sections #5 (significant other) and #6 (family).
Wishing you the power to make your space your sacred space no matter its location and its size. All space has the ability to be sacred space just for us, it is up to us to make it so.
